TSRC Specialty Materials Research and Development Facility

The intelligent network infrastructure at TSRC’s new R&D facility offers continuous connectivity to drive the development of new products and enhance operations.

The research and development facility for TSRC Specialty Materials LLC, a global leader in synthetic rubber and styrenic block copolymer, houses state-of-the-art engineering laboratories with supporting office space. Designed to encourage collaboration and communication for R&D engineers and employees, the 30,150-square-foot building allows TSRC to grow with greater flexibility and adapt to the rapidly changing industrial environment.

TSRC Specialty Materials engaged NCS to deliver a dynamic network infrastructure that allows the company to respond to new challenges and opportunities. The facility features a fully integrated CommScope fiber backbone with 196 point-to-point links to leverage advanced cross-discipline technology, facilities 5G connectivity, and support new types of research and development engagement. For cooling, power distribution, and cable management, the team utilized APC’s NetShelter SV racks and APC Smart-UPS with SmartConnect to ensure network power protection for the mission-critical environment.

To meet IT strategy initiatives, NCS installed HDMI cables, one TV mount in the R&D conference room, 10 Hanwha DVR and IP cameras, three S2 access control card readers to streamline connectivity and provide valuable safety insights.
