NCS integrates sound system and video surveillance for uniform acoustical coverage and safety for the Town of Little Elm’s new performance pavilion, expanding its outreach to the local community and neighboring communities.
Creating a Connected Outdoor Venue for Performances and Community Events
The Lawn at The Lakefront™ is a signature community gathering space in Little Elm’s growing Lakefront district. Designed to support live entertainment, recreation, and community events, the 87,120-square-foot park features an expansive lawn, performance pavilion, playground, interactive lighting, shaded gathering areas, and pedestrian connections to the surrounding neighborhood.
As part of the park’s transformation, the Town of Little Elm needed technology that could support a wide variety of outdoor events while providing consistent audio coverage and enhanced visibility throughout the property.
NCS provided audiovisual and physical security solutions for the new performance pavilion and surrounding lawn, integrating an outdoor sound system engineered for uniform coverage along with video surveillance connected to the Town’s existing security infrastructure.
Outdoor Performance Audio
Delivering clear, consistent sound across an open outdoor environment requires careful system design and commissioning. NCS designed, installed, programmed, and commissioned the pavilion’s audiovisual system to provide dependable coverage throughout the lawn while supporting concerts, community programs, announcements, and other live events.
The pavilion features Bose ArenaMatch loudspeakers supported by PowerMatch amplifiers and a ControlSpace sound processor. The system was engineered to distribute audio evenly throughout the audience area while maintaining the clarity needed for both music and spoken-word programming.
Shure vocal microphones provide additional flexibility for performers, presenters, and event organizers.

Integrated Video Surveillance
NCS also deployed a video surveillance solution to increase visibility throughout the pavilion and lawn.
Four strategically positioned Hanwha Vision cameras provide coverage of key areas within the venue. The cameras connect to a Wisenet Network Video Recorder and integrate with the Town of Little Elm’s existing surveillance environment, extending its security infrastructure into the new park development.
The surveillance system provides:
- Increased visibility throughout the pavilion and lawn
- Support for real-time event and facility monitoring
- Greater situational awareness during large community gatherings
- Recorded video that can assist with incident review and investigation
- Integration with the Town’s existing security technology
