Carrington Coleman has been a fixture of Texas corporate and litigation law for decades. Its move to the 18th and 19th floors of Dallas Arts Tower marked the firm’s first relocation in 20 years and created an opportunity to build a modern workplace around the way its attorneys, staff, and clients work today.

As part of the new office buildout at 2200 Ross Avenue in downtown Dallas, NCS delivered the structured cabling and audiovisual infrastructure across both floors. The result is an integrated technology environment that supports day-to-day collaboration, hybrid meetings, case preparation, firmwide events, and future growth.

Structured Cabling Across Two Floors

NCS installed the network cabling infrastructure supporting Carrington Coleman’s new two-floor office, using Belden cabling and connectivity throughout the project.

The structured cabling scope included:

• 400+ Cat 6 cable runs serving floor, furniture, and wall outlets throughout the office
• 40 Cat 6A runs supporting wireless access points across both floors, including device mounting
• Fiber backbone connectivity between the 18th and 19th floors, terminated and housed in dedicated fiber enclosures
• IDF buildouts on each floor with equipment racks, patch panels, cable management, and ladder rack
• Fluke certification testing on every cable, with complete test results, labeling, and documentation provided at project closeout

Together, these systems provide the dependable network foundation required to support the firm’s users, collaboration technology, wireless connectivity, and future technology needs.

Audiovisual for a Modern Law Practice

NCS also integrated audiovisual technology throughout the firm’s meeting, collaboration, and presentation spaces. Standardized systems help give attorneys and staff a familiar experience from room to room, while each space is equipped for its specific purpose.

The audiovisual scope included:

• Boardroom: A 98 inch Samsung display, Logitech Rally video conferencing, Sennheiser ceiling microphones, and QSC audio processing and ceiling speakers
• Five conference rooms: Neat Bar Pro video conferencing systems paired with Samsung displays up to 85 inches
• Multipurpose room: Six 85 inch Samsung displays, AV over IP distribution, Zoom Rooms conferencing, and Shure wireless microphones for firmwide meetings, presentations, training, and events
• Trial room: Dual displays and integrated video conferencing to support case preparation, presentations, and mock proceedings
• Four flex rooms: Wireless presentation capabilities for quick collaboration and content sharing
• Central equipment rack: Network switching, audio processing cores, and battery backup supporting the audiovisual systems across both floors
