Aledo Municipal Complex
For the first time in Aledo’s history, city administration, the public library, the police department, utility billing, and city council chambers share a single address. The new $14.5 million Aledo Municipal Complex opened in January 2026 as a landmark civic investment, and NCS was proud to serve as the technology integrator bringing it all to life.
Designed by Randall Scott Architects and constructed by Steele and Freeman, the 25,000-square-foot complex was built to reflect Aledo’s small-town character while positioning the city for long-term growth. NCS delivered a comprehensive AV and structured cabling solution across more than a dozen spaces, from the formal Council Chambers to huddle offices, community rooms, and public lobbies.
What We Delivered
AV Integration across the full facility, including a purpose-built Council Chambers outfitted with large-format displays, a full dais microphone system, wireless capability, audio DSP, and a video matrix. A streaming solution built around the Epiphan Pearl Mini was added to the Council Chambers, giving city staff an easy-to-use platform for live streaming and recording public meetings in support of transparency and community access.
Throughout the rest of the building, NCS standardized conferencing and collaboration spaces around Yealink and Newline solutions, replacing legacy equipment with a cohesive, supportable technology ecosystem. Spaces like the Training/Community Room received a full Microsoft Teams Room deployment, while conference rooms, manager offices, and common areas were outfitted with intuitive display and collaboration tools suited to each use case.
Structured Cabling was delivered using a CommScope/Uniprise CAT6 solution, forming the network backbone that ties every technology system in the building together. NCS installed 204 cable runs across both floors, supporting data, voice, wireless access points, and both indoor and outdoor camera locations. Exterior camera runs utilized OSP-rated cable to ensure durability outside the building envelope. All terminations were completed to T568B standard with a consistent blue CAT6 jack and white faceplate throughout, giving the facility a clean, professional finish. The result is a cabling infrastructure designed to support the City of Aledo’s technology needs well into the future.
The Result
A modern, connected civic hub that serves Aledo residents every day, centralizing services, enabling transparent government, and giving city staff the tools they need to do their jobs efficiently.
