NCS Explores New Security Innovations at GSX 2025 in New Orleans

Gsx

The Global Security Exchange (GSX) conference in New Orleans brought together security professionals, innovators, and technology partners from around the world. Representing NCS were Chris Germany, Account Executive from our Dallas Branch, and CuBrail Hendricks, our Security Systems Design Manager.

Throughout the event, they met with partners, explored new products, and discovered technologies shaping the next generation of integrated security systems. Outside of the conference, they also enjoyed connecting with industry peers at Hanwha’s Customer Appreciation event—and took full advantage of New Orleans’ famous cuisine, complete with more than a few beignets.

Standout Innovations from the GSX Show Floor

This year’s GSX was a showcase of how the security industry continues to merge advanced hardware, artificial intelligence, and cloud-based platforms to improve efficiency and reliability. From streamlined access control systems to AI-powered maintenance tools and cellular-enabled cameras, several new technologies stood out for their potential to enhance the way organizations design, deploy, and manage security infrastructure.

Hanwha’s New Cloud-Based Access Control: OnCAFE

Hanwha Vision introduced OnCAFE, a proprietary cloud-based access control platform that integrates seamlessly with the company’s CCTV systems and WiseNet ecosystem. Available in 1-, 2-, and 4-door configurations, OnCAFE is expected to launch in November 2025.

What makes this platform notable is its flexibility and scalability. By offering cloud-based management, it simplifies multi-site deployment and provides a more unified approach to video and access control within the same ecosystem.

Ai-RGUS: AI-Driven System Monitoring and Compliance

Ai-RGUS, originally developed at Duke University, stood out as a solution that streamlines system monitoring and maintenance. It provides a single interface for visualizing and managing the performance of connected devices such as cameras, access control systems, power supplies, and more.

Using computer vision algorithms, Ai-RGUS automatically verifies camera clarity, positioning, and retention compliance—helping security teams maintain reliability and visibility without manual checks.

Spectrum Camera Solutions: Cellular-Enabled Explosion-Proof Cameras

Spectrum Camera Solutions unveiled its new F-200 Explosion-Proof camera line, which operates over 4G and 5G cellular networks. This innovation eliminates the need for PoE cabling and media converters, offering new flexibility for remote and hazardous environments such as industrial or oil and gas sites.

With 4K image quality and rugged construction, these cameras expand the possibilities for high-performance surveillance where traditional infrastructure isn’t practical.

Looking Ahead

This year’s GSX highlighted how quickly physical security continues to evolve alongside IT and cloud technologies. Each new product on display pointed toward a future defined by integration, intelligence, and adaptability—where systems are no longer isolated tools but parts of a connected security ecosystem.

For NCS, events like GSX reinforce the importance of staying engaged with emerging technologies and maintaining strong relationships with our partners. As the industry continues to advance, we remain focused on delivering solutions that keep our clients connected, secure, and ready for what’s next.
