Clearer Meetings, Smarter Rooms: Shure’s Latest Collaboration Solutions at InfoComm 2026

Clearer meetings smarter rooms shure’s latest collaboration solutions at infocomm

Summary: At InfoComm 2026, NCS joined Michael Moore, Regional Sales Manager at Shure, for a tour of the company’s latest collaboration solutions. From newly Zoom Certified IntelliMix Room Kits and the IntelliMix Foundation System to the IntelliMix Bar Pro, expanded MXA901 capabilities, and the new AI-enabled MXA925, Shure is giving organizations more ways to create meeting spaces with clearer audio, intelligent video, and a consistent experience across different room sizes.

At InfoComm 2026, NCS caught up with Michael Moore, Regional Sales Manager at Shure, for a closer look at several of the company’s latest collaboration solutions and product updates.

The booth tour covered the new MXA925 Ceiling Array Microphone, expanded capabilities for the MXA901 Ceiling Array Microphone, the IntelliMix Bar Pro Kit, and Shure’s newly Zoom Certified IntelliMix Foundation System and IntelliMix Room Kits.

Across the lineup, one theme stood out: giving organizations more flexibility to create meeting rooms that sound clear, work consistently, and can be standardized across different types of spaces.

A Flexible Foundation for Zoom Rooms

One of the first stops on the tour was the IntelliMix Foundation System, which now supports Zoom Rooms in addition to Microsoft Teams Rooms.

The Foundation System provides the core technology needed to create a customized collaboration space, including a Windows-based compute with built-in IntelliMix Room DSP, an 11-inch touch panel, and a PoE+ network switch.

From there, the system can be paired with Shure microphones and loudspeakers along with compatible camera and control solutions to match the needs of the room.

That flexibility can be especially valuable for spaces that do not fit neatly into a standard conference room design. A boardroom, training room, divisible space, or classroom may require a different combination of microphones, loudspeakers, cameras, and controls than a typical meeting room.

Instead of forcing each space into the same configuration, the Foundation System provides a consistent platform that can be customized around the room.

For example, the system can be paired with Shure’s compact MXA901 Ceiling Array Microphone for premium ceiling audio without taking over the room aesthetically, while compatible camera options allow the video experience to be designed around the size and layout of the space.

IntelliMix Room Kits Bring the Main Components Together

For organizations looking for a more preconfigured approach, Shure also showcased its Zoom Certified IntelliMix Room Kits.

The Room Kits combine audio, video, compute, control, and networking into complete configurations designed for different room sizes. At the center of each kit is the MXA902 Ceiling Array Microphone + Loudspeaker, which combines a ceiling microphone array, loudspeaker, and IntelliMix DSP in a single device.

The camera configuration then scales with the room:

  • IntelliMix Room Kit 30: MXA902 with a Huddly IQ camera for small to medium rooms
  • IntelliMix Room Kit 50: MXA902 with a Huddly L1 camera for medium to large rooms
  • IntelliMix Room Kit 70: Two MXA902 units with a Huddly L1 camera for larger rooms
  • IntelliMix Room Kit 80: Two MXA902 units with the Huddly Crew multi-camera system for large and reconfigurable spaces

For organizations managing multiple meeting rooms, offices, or campuses, the benefit is consistency.

Instead of creating every conference room from scratch, the Room Kits provide repeatable configurations that can be matched to the size of the space. Employees get a more familiar meeting experience from room to room, while IT teams have fewer variations to deploy and support.

The Huddly camera options also allow the video experience to scale with the space. The Huddly IQ is designed for smaller and medium meeting rooms, while the Huddly L1 provides coverage for larger spaces. Huddly Crew takes the experience further with a multi-camera system that uses AI to change views as conversations move around the room.

IntelliMix Bar Pro Brings More Capability to the Video Bar

Another major product Michael demonstrated was the IntelliMix Bar Pro Kit, Shure’s all-in-one video conferencing solution for medium and large Microsoft Teams Rooms.

The IntelliMix Bar Pro combines audio, video, compute, and room control into a streamlined system that includes the video bar and touch panel.

Inside the bar are Shure array microphones, stereo loudspeakers, IntelliMix DSP, and four 4K AI-powered cameras with a combined 135-degree field of view.

Shure’s IntelliMix View technology uses intelligent framing to help capture participants throughout the room, giving remote attendees a clearer view of the people speaking and participating in the meeting.

For clients, the advantage is fewer separate components without giving up the performance required for a larger collaboration space.

That can simplify the room itself while also creating a more consistent experience across an organization. With audio, video, processing, compute, and control working together as one platform, users can focus on the meeting rather than the technology behind it.

The IntelliMix Bar Pro is also designed as an expandable platform, giving organizations more flexibility as their meeting room requirements evolve.

MXA901 Gains More Flexibility Through Firmware

The MXA901 was already part of Shure’s Microflex Advance portfolio, but Michael highlighted several significant capabilities added to the microphone.

One of the biggest updates is more control over its Automatic Coverage area.

The MXA901’s single coverage zone can now be resized from its standard 20 x 20-foot area down to 10 x 10 feet, with sizes in between.

That means the microphone’s pickup area can be more closely matched to where people are actually sitting instead of capturing a larger portion of the room than necessary.

This can be helpful in smaller meeting rooms and in spaces where multiple microphones are used and tighter control over audio pickup is important.

Shure has also expanded the MXA901’s Steerable Coverage Mode, allowing up to eight independent lobes with Direct Outputs.

Those capabilities open the door to more advanced applications such as voice lift, where a presenter or participant’s voice can be reinforced naturally within the room.

The MXA901 also includes improvements to Shure’s Optimize Tracking feature to increase talker location accuracy when multiple microphones are being used with camera tracking systems.

One of the biggest advantages is that these capabilities were added through firmware. Existing MXA901 installations can gain additional functionality without requiring organizations to replace the microphone hardware.

MXA925 Brings AI Processing Directly Into the Microphone

The final major product Michael highlighted was the new MXA925 Ceiling Array Microphone, the latest flagship in Shure’s Microflex Advance portfolio.

The MXA925 introduces Shure’s next-generation processing platform with AI-enabled IntelliMix DSP built directly into the microphone.

That processing includes AI Acoustic Echo Cancellation, AI Denoiser, and AI Deverb, each designed to address common challenges found in real meeting environments.

Acoustic Echo Cancellation helps manage audio coming back through room loudspeakers. The AI Denoiser reduces distracting sounds such as keyboard noise and other background interruptions. AI Deverb reduces the effects of room reverberation that can make speech harder to understand in spaces with glass, hard surfaces, or challenging acoustics.

For meeting participants, the technology is working toward a simple outcome: voices that sound clearer and more natural.

That is becoming even more important as AI plays a larger role in collaboration.

Tools such as Zoom AI Companion and Microsoft 365 Copilot rely on the audio captured in the room to create transcriptions, summaries, action items, and other meeting insights. The clearer the source audio is, the stronger the foundation those tools have to work with.

The MXA925 provides Automatic Coverage for a 30 x 30-foot area out of the box and can be configured with up to eight coverage areas for more precise pickup.

Shure also added dual RJ45 connections, giving organizations additional network flexibility, including the ability to separate Dante/AES67 audio and control traffic when required by the network design.

The MXA925 can support conferencing, camera tracking, and voice lift applications, making it an option for spaces that require more advanced coverage and processing.

Creating a More Consistent Meeting Experience

Shure’s InfoComm 2026 lineup shows how meeting room technology is becoming more flexible while also becoming easier to standardize.

Some spaces may only require an all-in-one solution such as the IntelliMix Bar Pro. Others may be a natural fit for one of the IntelliMix Room Kits. More complex rooms can start with the IntelliMix Foundation System and be configured around the specific audio, video, and control requirements of the space.

The MXA901 and MXA925 add another level of flexibility for organizations that need premium ceiling audio, camera tracking, voice lift, or more precise control over microphone coverage.

The common goal across all of these options is a meeting experience where people can hear clearly, be seen clearly, and use the room without having to think about the technology making it happen.

And as transcription, meeting summaries, and other AI-powered collaboration features become more common, getting clean, intelligible audio at the source will only become more important.
