Job description:
As a lead tech you are responsible for planning and execution of small, structured cabling jobs under the guidance of an OSPM or project manager. This position acts as a subject matter expert on a job site. This position is critical in helping to assure that projects are completed safely, on time and on budget with the highest quality and customer service. Responsibilities:
- Valid TWIC card
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Pass urine or DISA background
- Knowledge and understanding on interpreting drawings
- Knowledge in redlining drawing
- Ability to operate a greenlee555 and use a power pony
- Cutting, bending, and running of conduit as specified on blueprint
- Installation, modification, and fabrication of cable tray and ladder tray as necessary according to specification
- Pulling cable through specific pathways
- Testing of electrical and telecommunications components for continuity and proper voltage reading according to specifications
- Fusion splice, terminate, and testing OSP fiber optic cables
- Good with operating booms lifts and scissor lifts at heights of 16ft and up to 60ft
- Often performs duties as an on-site lead-direct
- Assigning crew task
- Maintain current industry knowledge and certification
- Represent NCS with professionalism and integrity
Skills:
- 3+ years of related experience
- High school or general education degree
- Valid driver’s license
- Communication skills
